IB-Informed, Not IB-Only

Although my professional background is deeply rooted in the International Baccalaureate, the skills and perspectives that shape my work extend far beyond any single program.

IB emphasizes:

  • Critical thinking
  • Clear communication
  • Reflection and self-awareness
  • Ethical engagement
  • Intellectual curiosity

These are the same skills students need to thrive in honors, AP, independent, and non-traditional academic environments—and they are the skills colleges consistently value.

Families of non-IB students often seek me out because they want:
  • Thoughtful guidance rather than formulaic advice
  • Strong writing and thinking support
  • A focus on student voice and well-being
  • An approach that values fit over prestige

My role is not to turn students into someone they are not, but to help them articulate who they already are and where they will thrive.
